Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective: October 22, 2026

This policy explains what health information Unblocked Health collects about you, why, who handles it, and what you can do about it. We wrote it in plain words because you should be able to see exactly what happens to your health information, including what our AI tools do with it, before you decide anything.

It is for clients of our Digestive Recovery program. Everything we collect serves one purpose: giving you personalized, timely health consulting within the program. It stays within the program, private between you and Mark Carlson, your practitioner. What you say to Frank, the program's AI helper, stays between you and Frank; Mark does not see it. It also covers any health information you share with us while deciding whether to join, for example on a discovery call.

We hold ourselves to the strictest health privacy law in the United States, Washington's My Health My Data Act, for every client, wherever you live. This policy sits alongside our general Privacy Policy; where the two differ on health information, this one applies.

Unblocked Health is the business name of Health Under Control LLC. "We" means Health Under Control LLC.

1. The short version

  • We collect health information only to deliver your program, and it stays within the program.
  • Frank is an AI helper built for the program and available to you day and night. Your conversations with Frank are private: Mark does not see them, and they never go into your file.
  • If you choose, Frank also gets your Frank file: a short summary of your progress and latest results, approved by Mark, with your name and contact details taken out, so Frank can answer questions about your own case.
  • We never sell your health information or use it for advertising.
  • The only companies that handle it are the ones that run our tools, only to run them, and none may use it to train AI.
  • You can see what we hold, have it deleted, and withdraw consent at any time.

2. Frank, your private AI helper

Frank is an AI assistant built for the Digestive Recovery program. Use him any time, day or night, to ask questions, think something through, test an idea, or learn more about the program material. He is an educational aid: he does not give medical advice, and he does not change your plan, supplements, or doses.

Your conversations are private. Frank is built so that no one at Unblocked Health reads them. No screen shows them, and our records keep usage counts and costs, never words. Mark can see how much Frank is used, not what is said. Your conversations never go into your file and are never used to train any AI. Frank is there for you, not to gather information about you.

Your Frank file, if you want one. On his own, Frank knows the Digestive Recovery material but nothing about you. With your Frank file turned on, he also knows where you are in the program: a short, dated summary of your progress, drawn from what you tell Mark in sessions and messages and from your test results. Before anything is drafted, your name, birth date, contact details, and ID numbers are taken out, so the file holds your health information, not your identity. Mark approves every entry before Frank can use it, and you can read every entry yourself under Your file in Frank. The file is used only in your own conversations, and switching it off deletes it.

The file needs your separate written consent (Section 7). Saying no does not affect your place in the program; Frank simply cannot answer questions about your own results and progress.

3. What health information we collect

"Consumer health data" means information that is linked or reasonably linkable to you and identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health. For us, that includes:

  • What you tell us: symptoms, digestive history, diet, medications and supplements you take, conditions and diagnoses you share, and anything you write in intake forms, messages, or sessions.
  • Session content: recordings and transcripts of your sessions (recording is a standard part of the program).
  • Test results: laboratory results ordered through the program or that you share with us.
  • Your plan: the instructions Mark gives you, such as supplements, doses, timing, and food guidance.
  • Your conversations with Frank: what you write to Frank and what Frank replies.
  • Your Frank file, if you turn it on: as described in Section 2.
  • The fact that you are a client: your name or email together with your enrollment can itself show that you are seeking help with a health concern.

We do not collect precise location, biometric data, or genetic data. Frank runs no tracking or analytics. Our website runs no advertising pixels; it counts visits with our website platform's built-in statistics and Cloudflare's analytics, and health information reaches us from the website only when you send it, for example in a booking form.

4. Where it comes from

  • From you, directly.
  • From your sessions (recordings and transcripts) and from messages you send Mark.
  • From laboratories, for tests ordered through the program.
  • From Mark, who writes your plan and approves your Frank file.

5. Why we collect and use it

  • To deliver your program: understanding your case, reviewing results, building and adjusting your plan, and keeping accurate case records.
  • To run Frank: replying to your messages, keeping your conversations so you can come back to them, and keeping each person within a daily and monthly allowance.
  • If you turn on your Frank file: so Frank can answer from your own records. This use needs your separate consent (Section 7).
  • To keep our tools secure and to meet legal obligations.

We do not use your health information for advertising, profiling, or anything unrelated to your care in the program.

6. Who handles it

We do not sell, rent, or trade your health information, and we never will.

These companies handle it only to do the job listed:

CompanyWhat it does for usWhat it handles
Google (Google Workspace, Google Cloud, Firebase)Email, video sessions and their transcripts, Drive where case files are kept, and the servers, sign-in, and database that run Frank. About Anthropic: Anthropic does not use any of this to train its models. For Frank, under its business terms, Anthropic does not keep a conversation after replying, except that content its safety systems flag can be kept for up to 2 years, and the safety scores attached to it for up to 7 years. That is Anthropic's published policy for its business customers.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. If that ever happens with your health information, we will tell you unless the law forbids it.

7. Consent

We collect the health information needed to deliver your program. Anything beyond that needs your consent first, given by a clear action of your own (never by using our website or accepting this policy).

Your Frank file is one such use. Before it is turned on, you sign a separate consent form with two parts: one to collect your records for the file, and one to let the companies that run Frank handle them. You can withdraw either consent at any time (Section 9).

8. How we protect it

  • Frank's sign-in is by a one-time code sent to your email: no password to steal, or to leave on a forgotten scrap of paper.
  • No one at Unblocked Health reads your Frank conversations: no screen shows them, and our records hold counts and costs, never words.
  • Your Frank file is used only in your own conversations, matched to your account, never to anyone else's. Your original documents, with your name and details on them, stay in your Biocanic client portal, where you can download them.
  • Information is encrypted in transit and at rest by Google.
  • Only Mark has access to your case records. If that ever changes, access will be limited to what each person needs to do their job.

9. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can:

  • Confirm and see whether we hold your health information, get a copy of it, and get a list of every company and person it has been shared with or sold to (it has never been sold), with a way to contact them.
  • Delete it. We delete it from our systems and tell the companies above to delete it too. If any copy sits in a backup, it is deleted within 6 months. (Frank keeps no backups.)
  • Withdraw consent for any use that needed it, such as your Frank file.

In Frank, some of this is a click away: delete any conversation from the list, and switch off your file under Your file in the menu, which deletes it at once. Under Your file, Frank shows you every entry in your file and where each one came from.

For anything else, ask Mark in a session or a portal message, or email [email protected] with "Health data request" in the subject. We may need to confirm it is you, usually by replying from the email we have on file. We answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why within those 45 days and take no more than 45 more. Requests are free up to twice a year.

If we say no, we will tell you why. You can appeal by replying to that email with "Appeal" in the subject; we decide within 45 days and tell you in writing. If you are not satisfied, you can contact your state's attorney general.

10. How long we keep it

  • Frank conversations: until you delete them, and no longer than 90 days after your access to Frank ends.
  • Your Frank file: until you switch it off, or 90 days after your access to Frank ends, whichever comes first.
  • Frank usage records: counts and cost, with no health information, are kept for our accounts.
  • Case records (session notes, transcripts, results): for the length of your program and afterward as our general Privacy Policy describes.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use health information you have already given us, we will ask for your consent again before it applies to that information.
